TOUCHPOINTS-DIFFERENT USERS

BACKGROUND RESEARCH

This research was conducted during the id-seminar class.
Interestingly our group in the id-seminar, headed to the
similar direction as my project for UBICOMP. So I thought
I would share the research result.

We distributed surveys among people in the city of Providence,
some important questions include: whrere you live among urba,
suburban and rural, and why do you live there? where would you
prefer to live? and why do you prefer to live there? what is
your perception of urban life? rate the ten aspects provided…..

The interesting thing we got from research that relates to UBICOMP
project is that most people who prefer to live in suburban made their
preference because they thought suburban is safer and has better
sense of community. Also people who live in suburban now thought
where they live has higher sense of community than people who live
in urban.

Our objective of the id-seminar was to improve people’s perception
towards urban life thus encouraging them to live closer to each other
which will have better sustainable impact.

This result shows me that my project for UBICOMP can be used in
improving people’s perception towards urban life.
